The Evo CD uses the new S5 Servo, an upgrade to the acclaimed S3 found in the CXC player. It offers even greater speed accuracy and precise reproduction of musical data than its predecessor. The Evo CD does not use a multi-function disc drive, but a specially designed technology with the sole purpose of playing audio CDs with unerring accuracy.
Designed with sound in mind
The anodized aluminum surrounding the precision components not only perfectly matches the Evo's thoughtful design, but also enhances its performance. The acoustically damped metal chassis and turntable ensure that nothing interferes with the signal as it passes through the Evo's digital-to-analog converter via the unique 'Evo Link' cable.

Evo CD is designed to complement the Evo player and shares the same high-quality materials and dimensions – to be placed underneath or next to it. The Evo CD's sole purpose is to play discs and transfer precise musical information to the Evo player, allowing for a minimalist design – there's just one button on the front panel to open/close the metal CD tray. Everything else is controlled via the Evo player's remote control or the StreamMagic app on your smart device. CD covers and track information are beautifully displayed on the Evo player's 6.8-inch color display.
