Clean preamplifier mode available: Your AV amplifier can also act as an AV preamplifier for external power amplifiers or active speakers. Preamplifier mode offers a cleaner signal path and greater tolerance for signal clipping by disabling the device's internal Power Amplifiers. More flexibility comes from turning off certain channels so that you can use the AV amplifier's built-in amplifiers to drive non-critical channels, but you get a cleaner signal path for e.g. main and center channels that are amplified by an external terminal.

Four subwoofer outputs: Up to four subwoofer outputs smooth out low frequencies tremendously. No annoying buzzing or missing frequencies, but powerful and room-filling bass that makes your mouth smile. Adjust the subwoofer settings to your preference when more than two subwoofers are connected. Select "Standard" if you want evenly distributed bass reproduction. Select "Directional" for more directional bass reproduction, seamlessly integrated into the speaker channel closest to each subwoofer.
Audyssey's premium class room repair
Optimize your sound experience with the Audyssey MultEQ XT32 feature, which adapts the sound reproduction to your individual listening environment. With the included microphone, the MultEQ XT32 measures and analyzes the output of each speaker (including subwoofers) in up to eight measurement locations and produces precise digital filters that optimize the frequency balance and time domain reproduction of each channel. Audyssey Dynamic Volume evens out annoying volume jumps (like TV commercials), letting you listen at lower levels and still enjoy clear dialogue, music and effects. Audyssey Dynamic EQ provides full clarity at all listening levels, and Audyssey Low Frequency Containment uses advanced psychoacoustic algorithms to deliver a rich frequency balance, including a sense of deep bass, without disturbing your neighbors or other family members. Audyssey Sub EQ HT offers individual DSP customization of each subwoofer in two-subwoofer systems to keep bass accurate and reach as low as possible. In addition, the separately purchased Audyssey MultEQ Editor application (available in app stores) allows experienced users to go "under the hood" for more precise adjustment and customization of the sound reproduction. The app is available for both iOS and Android.
The AVC-X6800H allows two Audyssey settings to be saved and then changed on the fly, giving you the freedom to adjust your listening experience based on content or listening environment.
