A typical listening room resonates with low frequencies. This phenomenon can cause even the best subwoofer to not sound good. Low frequencies can be almost impossible to distinguish from resonances. The problem is at its worst when the subwoofer is placed near a wall or corner of the room.
Anti-Mode technology eliminates room and speaker acoustic resonances by equalizing both amplitude and phase responses with highly accurate filters made possible by digital technology. Such low frequencies are reproduced clearly up to the limit frequency of the subwoofer.
Anti-Mode 8033 is very easy to use, as the calibration takes place automatically. The device performs frequency sweeps from the desired calibration point (or points) and thus measures the joint transfer function of the equipment used to reproduce low frequencies and the room.
The Anti-Mode 8033 is connected between the amplifier's subwoofer line output and the subwoofer's line input using standard RCA connectors. These connections can be found on most devices intended for home theater use.
