The Confidence 20A is an active version of our flagship Confidence 20 floorstanding speaker. The listener simply needs to connect a preamplifier (or use an audio source with volume control) and they're all set.

The Confidence 20A is designed to be discreet – the amplifier is hidden inside the stand, and the controls are located on the back of the speaker. Analogue and digital connections are via XLR connectors. This is a stylish way to enjoy the ultimate Dynaudio listening experience.

The speaker amplifiers are supplied by Pascal, who also make the amplifiers for our Core professional reference speakers – giving the Confidence 20A a strong connection directly to the studio source. Digital Signal Processing (DSP) lets you adjust room-bound filters, input sensitivity, tonal balance and more.

And because the Confidence 20A's technology is taken directly from these professional speakers, it means you can get the purest possible digital signal path (which is crucial in high-end studios). It's also possible to turn off sample rate conversion for a direct signal path, or turn it on for the best compatibility with digital sources.

Overall, it is reference-level technology that meets the expectations of demanding audiophile listeners.

We put the Confidence through intensive – and thorough – testing on the Jupiter measurement rig at Dynaudio Labs. Hundreds of hours of analysis and listening resulted in the best speaker we’ve ever created.
