The Eversolo DAC-Z10 is a versatile DA converter and headphone amplifier with excellent sound quality and uncompromising mechanical and electrical design.
Eversolo DAC-Z10 – a top DAC without the high price tag
The Eversolo DAC-Z10 is technically and sound-wise an excellent DA converter for the demanding user. Accurate and precise, but not sterile in a laboratory, but pleasantly alive – even the smallest details are brought out naturally and thus addictive to the music. In terms of sound quality, the DAC-Z10, together with the Eversolo T8 streamer, is on par with the manufacturer's DMP-A10 flagship.
Both the left and right channels have their own dual-circuit DA converters, AK4191EQ and AK4499EXEQ for the left, another AK4191EQ and AK4499EXEQ for the right. Three linear power supplies, one for the left channel, one for the right and another separate one for other system uses. The analog preamp section is fully balanced and the volume control is via R2R connection.
The headphone amplifier pushes a full watt per channel into 16 and 32 ohm loads and the amplifier has an optimal impedance range of 16 – 300 ohms. The amplifier automatically detects the impedance of the headphones and adjusts its operation accordingly. In addition, the user can select high, medium or low gain according to the sensitivity of their headphones and typical listening levels.
The user interface is a large 8.8-inch IPS touchscreen, and the core of the technical implementation is a completely separate digital and analog side. This minimizes interference between signals and ensures that the music is reproduced as accurately as possible in the original way.
The DAC-Z10 natively supports signals up to DSD 512 and PCM 768kHz/32bit. The R2R, or resistor network digitally controlled analog volume control, keeps the signal in its original form regardless of the control position. You then listen very quietly and PERFECTLY, every nuance of the music remains unchanged and you hear a clean, precise sound that is faithful to the original performance.
The preamplifier stage outputs the signal both unbalanced via RCA connectors and truly balanced via XLR connectors.
