20 years after the launch of the original 6040A, the redesigned 6040R also includes the same bass driver used in Genelec's professional models, the patented Class D amplifier, and integration with our GLM™ calibration software. This allows the 6040R to deliver exceptionally clean acoustic performance, wide frequency response, unmatched sound quality and minimal distortion – even in challenging acoustic environments.

The material of the 6040R is die-cast, recycled aluminum, and its smooth shapes were created in collaboration with designer Harri Koskinen. Thanks to this design work, the speaker not only delivers true-to-life, uncolored and extremely high sound quality, but is also a visually unique eye-catcher. Adhering to the highest environmental standards, the 6040R provides reliable performance for decades.
6040R combines the best aspects of Finnish technology and design. It offers exceptionally good performance as well as an aesthetic appearance for all lovers of high sound quality.
