Genelec 7370A SAM Subwoofer
The Genelec 7370A SAM™ subwoofer is a powerful and precise tool for all applications. Thanks to digital and analog inputs and Genelec's AutoCal™ and GLM™ control network technologies, it is possible to adapt it flexibly and seamlessly to different spaces and sound systems.
The 7370A subwoofer combines the very good mechanical and acoustic properties of Genelec's Laminar Spiral Enclosure (LSE™) with Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM™) control software and AutoCal™ calibration technology. The end result is a subwoofer with a high maximum sound pressure, the reproduction of low frequencies is accurate and discriminating, and the sound tones are reproduced naturally. AutoCal™ calibrates each subwoofer connected to the control network separately so that the level differences and delay differences due to distance differences are compensated and the phase is matched with the main speakers. In addition, AutoCal™ compensates for unwanted phenomena caused by room acoustics, which are usually the most harmful at low frequencies.
The 7370A includes analog 7.1-channel balanced XLR inputs and outputs, so it can be used without external A/D converters. Digital AES/EBU connections enable compatibility with digital system environments. It supports a distributed bass control architecture, thanks to which the subwoofer can be used very versatile in different systems and configurations. The 7370A includes a class D power amplifier, DSP-controlled dividers and overdrive protection circuits.
Genelec 7370A's excellent properties are highlighted especially in very demanding conditions.
