G Three is a very compact and efficient speaker, which is excellently suited for e.g. listening to music or in a home theater environment. Its MDE™ (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure™) enclosure has rounded corners and gently curved front and side panels, thanks to which the edge reflections of the speaker enclosure have been minimized. The result is a very even frequency response and a precise stereo image.

Like all Genelec G series loudspeakers, the G Three was also made in collaboration with designer Harri Koskinen and is equipped with an advanced Directivity Control Waveguide™ (DCW™) rectifier, a flow-technically optimized reflex tube structure and an acoustically rigid aluminum housing. The strength of the housing structure is completed by a wear-resistant paint surface and acoustically transparent, but strong protective nets for the speaker elements. Very low-distortion speaker elements, properly dimensioned 40-watt amplifiers and carefully designed active splitters complete the whole. An oversteer protection circuit and versatile acoustic controls are part of the G Three's equipment as standard. G Three can be easily placed in different places. Its back panel has, for example, threads for a wall or ceiling mount.

Each Genelec G Three comes standard with an Iso-Pod™ (Isolation Positioner/Decoupler™) desktop stand. The Iso-Pod™ is an ingenious placement stand that allows you to easily place the speaker in either a vertical or horizontal position. It also makes it possible to easily direct the speaker towards the listener, isolating the speaker both acoustically and mechanically from the surface on which it is placed. The ISS (Intelligent Signal Sensing) feature ensures that power consumption remains as low as possible when the speaker is not in use. After automatically going to Standby mode, the speaker's power consumption is less than 0.5W.

If very high sound pressures and really deep bass reproduction are needed, the system can be expanded in stereo use with an F Two subwoofer or in multi-channel applications with e.g. a 7060A subwoofer.
