0.69-inch native 4K D-ILA panels (x3) / 40,000:1 native contrast / New BLU-Escent Laser light source with up to 2,000 lumens of brightness / Gen2 Frame Adapt HDR with deeper blacks / New “Vivid” picture mode
The DLA-NZ500 is an affordable native 4K home cinema projector that uses JVC's proprietary D-ILA technology. The image path, lens and circuit boards have been completely redesigned to create the world's smallest home cinema projector with native 4K resolution. The large aperture (80mm, 11 groups, 15 elements) 4K-optimized lens delivers delicious 4K D-ILA resolution to every corner of the screen.
Gen2 Frame Adapt HDR
Frame Adapt HDR, which uses a proprietary algorithm to instantly analyze the maximum brightness of any HDR10 content on a scene-by-scene or frame-by-frame basis and perform real-time tone mapping to achieve optimal dynamic range for video projection, has been upgraded to its second generation (Gen2). The tone mapping algorithm has been further refined to produce even more accurate HDR images. In addition, the proprietary algorithm used to select the tone curve has been improved to produce HDR images that are brighter, more colorful, and have a wider dynamic range.
A new Deep Black function has been added to Frame Adapt HDR, maximizing the dynamic range of the next-generation 4K D-ILA sensor, producing images with more contrast than ever before. Scenes with bright and dark tones, such as night scenes, can be projected more realistically.
New VIVID picture mode
The traditional Natural mode has been enhanced with a new "Vivid" mode, which delivers a significantly richer viewing experience even from SDR sources with flatter dynamics and colors. This mode is excellent for projecting popular SDR animations and computer-generated graphics from streaming services, for example.
Low latency mode - impressive projector image even when gaming
The DLA-NZ700 is equipped with two 32Gbps / 4K60 HDMI inputs. The signal latency is extremely low, so the game image produced at a high refresh rate is particularly well-received on the giant screen. The exceptionally low latency when displaying PC and game console images improves the player's ability to react to fast-paced events in games.
Reliable BLU-Escent laser diodes ensure exceptional brightness and longevity
The BLU-Escent light source used in the DLA-NZ500 projector is a technology adopted by JVC home cinema projectors to achieve exceptional brightness and a lifespan of up to 20,000 hours. The laser diode enables dynamic brightness control to produce images that are closer to human perception. Combining the latest BLU-Escent light source with the D-ILA cannon results in exceptionally detailed, balanced and impressive image quality. In theory, the light source can last up to 20 years or more when watching a 2.5-hour movie every single day.
