KEF KC92 active subwoofer

KC92

2 x 9” Force canceling elements, 2 x 500 W, 11 Hz, 110 dB.

The compact yet durable KC92 subwoofer features 2 x 9-inch power-cancelling drivers driven by a powerful 1000W (RMS) amplifier. KEF

Optimized with Music Integrity Engine® technology, the KC92 subwoofer delivers remarkably deep and impactful bass with exceptional accuracy, giving you a stunning, highly dynamic listening experience.

The same familiar design!

The advanced KC92 retains the same elegant, compact and durable design as its predecessor, the KF92.

Music Integrity Engine® (MIE)

KEF's proprietary DSP (Digital Signal Processing) algorithm ensures that all the subwoofer's components work in perfect harmony, while iBX Intelligent Bass Extension delivers deeper, more precise bass.

Performance and precision in harmony.

Two elements are positioned in a “force canceling” configuration, neutralizing reaction forces and enabling 110 dB sound pressure levels from a compact, sealed enclosure.

P-Flex Surround

P-Flex Surround, inspired by the Japanese art of origami, combines a unique design that withstands acoustic pressure without compromising sensitivity. The “Pleated” structure, reminiscent of origami folds, withstands internal air pressure, allowing the driver to move precisely in response to the audio signal. The result is deeper bass extension and more accurate, detailed bass reproduction.

Distortion-free, deep bass

The drivers feature a hybrid aluminum/paper cone, oversized motor systems with a vented voice coil design, ensuring vanishingly low distortion and exceptional accuracy.

Easy connectivity

A variety of connections, including KEF SmartConnect and speaker inputs, ensure effortless setup, and there's also a line output with High Pass Filter (HPF) for fine-tuned integration.

5 preset EQ settings for different modes

Easy EQ presets ensure the KC92 performs excellently no matter where it is placed in the room.

Easily updateable firmware

Convenient USB-C input that helps you update to the latest software and improvements.

Great performance and easy placement

The compact, closed-box design improves placement flexibility and performance speed and clarity.

Top-notch finishing

With its minimalist and timeless design, the KC92 easily fits in with any speaker and works beautifully in any interior.

Enjoy bass effortlessly without wires with the KW1 transmitter (sold separately)!

The KW1 allows for optimal placement of the KC92 even wirelessly. The high-quality wireless signal ensures that all the nuances and effects of your favorite movies and music are accurately reproduced.

Wireless connection to the KEF XIO soundbar

The KEF KC92 subwoofer can connect wirelessly to the KEF XIO soundbar using a KEF KW2 RX receiver, sold separately. The receiver plugs into the subwoofer's expansion port. The transmitter is built into XIO.

• XIO supports up to two wireless subwoofers simultaneously. Each subwoofer requires its own KW2 RX receiver.
• With the firmware update released in November 2026, the same system can also use a pair of LSX II, LSX II LT or Coda W speakers as rear speakers. One additional KW2 RX is sufficient for the entire rear speaker pair.
• A rear speaker pair and two wireless subwoofers require three KW2 RX receivers in total.

Setup is handled in the KEF Connect app. Update XIO, its transmitter, the KW2 receivers and any rear speakers to the latest firmware. The XIO surround system requires a working home Wi-Fi network. Audio is transmitted wirelessly, but the subwoofer still needs a mains connection.

Use KW2 RX for the XIO connection. For wireless subwoofer connections in other audio systems, the KW1 Adapter Kit provides a transmitter and receiver.

The XIO soundbar, KW2 RX receivers and rear speakers are sold separately. See KEF's surround system setup guide (PDF).
