The KEF Reference 5 Meta speakers use a revolutionary meta material that absorbs 99% of unwanted sounds behind the treble element. The material and maze-like structure eliminates the resulting distortion and produces a cleaner, more natural sound.
The speakers use the 12th generation Uni-Q element. The new element combined with the metamaterial produces a cleaner sound with less distortion and coloration, which is more transparent and truer than before.
Designed and handcrafted in Maidstone, Kent.
The new Reference is probably the best passive speaker series on the market.
