The new generation of the Klipsch Reference Premier series updates the previous collection with, among other things, completely renewed elements and a 90 x 90 Tractrix treble horn, greater power endurance and maximum sound pressure, and a much stiffer housing structure than before. The connection side has also been developed. In addition, there are separate connections for Dolby Atmos speakers on the back of the speaker, so adding a ceiling channel to the configuration is easy.
Klipsch's 90° x 90° Tractrix tweeter produces live-experienced detail and depth with clean and natural sound reproduction. The even larger new generation Tractrix horn produces a wider sound field and more controlled directionality.
The Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) tweeter is one of Klipsch's most significant creations, which has garnered praise and fame around the world! The reproduction of the LTS treble element has been minimized in terms of distortion for a better and more differentiated sound reproduction. The open tweeter cabinet reduces standing waves that produce unwanted resonances, resulting in a more detailed and clearer high frequency reproduction.
The special feature of the Reference Premier model series, the Cerametallic copper bass driver, has also been renewed. The element is very stiff and light to minimize distortion and achieve better performance. The new voice coils are 70% larger in diameter than the previous ones, which is reflected in better power durability and more error-free reproduction. The Tractrix reflex port reduces turbulence and distortion, and thus improves bass reproduction.
The high-quality MDF case construction with renewed internal support reduces frame vibration for less coloration and better sound accuracy.
The appearance of the RP-5000F II is elegantly streamlined. Thoughtful details, such as the magnetic front fabric, give the speaker a finished and modern look. The aluminum legs, which take up little contact with the floor, are not only stylish, but also reduce the mechanical vibration caused by the speakers compared to ABS plastic and MDF legs.
