The Expression ESL 13A belongs to MartinLogan's Masterpiece series. The goal of the Masterpiece series is to make the sound reproduction feel artistic, and it has succeeded.
The speaker's two 10-inch woofers with a 300-watt class D amplifier, driven by Vojtko's 24-bit DSP engine, produce a very impressive and dynamic sound. The bass reproduction seamlessly blends into the precise and clean sound reproduction of the 13-inch wide XStat CLS (Curvilinear Line Source) panel. Room correction of bass frequencies helps considerably in room integration.
Around the world, MartinLogans are used on a wide scale, from robust transistor amplifiers to tube amplifiers. Quality comes at a price, but in the case of Expression, the investment is easily justified.
