Equipped with the latest Gen2 Folded Motion® XT tweeter with advanced Folded Motion® Waveguide technology for excellent dialogue clarity and flatness in all positions. The “anti-lobing” splitter design further improves accuracy, and the swivel enclosure offers a gentle angle, making it perfect for low shelves or TV stands.

Gen2 Obsidian Folded Motion® Tweeter XT

The Gen2 Obsidian FMT XT tweeter has been updated with a larger motor for higher output power and lower distortion. The FMT XT delivers the smoothest, most detailed sound in the Motion series, with a surface area 40% larger than our own brand FMT. With new tweeters that are not part of our legendary electrostatic speakers, we deliver the cleanest, most detailed, and most accurate high-frequency sound representation yet.

Folded Motion® Directional

In an extensive evaluation of nearly 50 different design options, the Folded Motion® Waveguide profile was carefully selected to fit seamlessly into the midrange speaker dispersion, improving output.

The directional design ensures consistent sound quality regardless of the listener's position and minimizes unwanted room reflections. Proper directional design is important because it helps control the sound dispersion pattern, ensuring that the sound is evenly distributed across the listening area and delivering optimal sound quality.

FAST Outrigger Feet rubber feet

The Motion® Series tower models are designed with tool-free height adjustment using the included rubber feet or spikes. This allows for effortless leveling of the speaker for optimal stability on any floor.

Additionally, built-in vibration damping features reduce energy transfer from the speaker to the floor, reducing distortion and ripples and providing more accurate and detailed sound.

Nomex®-reinforced Kevlar® midsection

The Motion® XT Series Nomex®-reinforced Kevlar® midrange offers the perfect balance of lightness, durability, resonance and vibration damping properties, ensuring unparalleled sound quality. When paired with the Gen2 Obsidian FMT XT, vocals, dialogue and instrument detail are unmatched at all volumes.
