Inspired by the Mid-Century Modern design movement, its walnut wood ear cups and radial PC-ABS grilles combine to create a timeless shape that blends vintage charm and contemporary aesthetics in a way that will never truly age.

The name SILVA, which means “forest” in Romanian, is a tribute to the ancient forests that surround us in Maramures, a scenic region in northwestern Romania. This natural inspiration is reflected in the headphones’ warm, inviting sound and organic design. The 105 SILVA headphones take what Meze Audio learned from the 109 PRO and 105 AER. The 105 SILVA features the sonic qualities of both: richness and versatility across genres, combined with clarity and detail. A particularly expressive midrange enhances vocal presence and provides an even more natural presentation of acoustic string instruments, for example.
W-shaped dome
The dome is made from a carbon-fiber-reinforced cellulose composite that reproduces high frequencies with incredible detail, clarity, and precision. This composite is more durable than traditional alternatives used in dynamic drivers, yet lightweight, and helps reduce resonances that could lead to harmonic distortion.
Ultra-thin bezel
The torus surrounding the dome is made of a titanium-coated semi-crystalline polymer, designed to optimize stiffness, speed and sonic balance. The titanium coating, applied by physical vapor deposition (PVD), strengthens the diaphragm structure while keeping it lightweight, ensuring fast transient response and pleasantly textured bass reproduction.
The torus has precisely positioned grooves at a 45.5° angle that effectively control resonances.
Resonance control
A copper-zinc alloy stabilizer placed around the diaphragm improves vibration absorption into the body to further reduce distortion.

The 105 SILVA features a new 1.8m OFC cable with a double-twisted, Kevlar-coated main conductor, soft PVC-coated left and right cables, and an anthracite-coloured aluminium casing. The cable is designed for durability, flexibility and tangle-free operation. In addition, a custom 3.5mm USB-C adapter with integrated DAC expands usability with mobile devices and maintains high-resolution playback on the go.
