At first, the possibilities seemed endless, but reality showed us that only a few of our plans were feasible. We made a lot of revisions to discover the right proportions and materials that would deliver the sound signature we aimed for.”

ART MEETS CRAFTSMANSHIP Empyrean II is a natural progression from our first magnetoplanar headphone, retaining all the beloved elements of its iconic predecessor and adding a touch of sculptural elegance. The CNC-milled precision-crafted matte black body features stunning silver detailing, and the redesigned grille is inspired by bold and timeless art deco patterns.

- The goal was to improve the headphone's ability to reproduce fine details and achieve a more neutral sound image, but at the same time preserve the unstressed and easy-to-listen character of the original Empyrean.
- By using ingenious tuning methods, we discovered new possibilities in terms of sound reproduction resolution and detail. The reliability and durability of the membrane inside the element was also further improved, which guarantees exceptional performance even in challenging acoustic environments.
ISODYNAMIC HYBRID ARRAY© ELEMENT ARCHITECTURE The isodynamic hybrid element combines reciprocating and spiral-shaped voice coils in the same element, allowing the sound to be targeted more precisely under the conditions of the natural characteristics of the ear. The technology is patented in the USA, EU and China.
EXACT REPEAT The total harmonic distortion is less than 0.1% in the entire frequency range.
LEVITY The even lighter parts enable accurate playback and long-lasting listening sessions.
ERGONOMIC SHAPE Ergonomically designed element with a larger active surface area.
VERY HIGH RESOLUTION The frequency response extends to 110 kilohertz.
[MZ3] HYBRID MAGNET SYSTEM The neodymium magnets placed symmetrically on both sides of the membrane create an effective isodynamic magnetic field, which is needed to move the membrane of the element evenly and comprehensively.
RINARO ISOPLANAR® MEMBRANE Weighs only 0.16 g, but the active surface area is 4650 mm2.
[MZ3] FRAME Fiberglass-reinforced ABS plastic enables a very precisely machined and rigid frame.
INTELLIGENT MANAGEMENT OF ISOPLANAR® MEMBRANE A reciprocating voice coil, which reproduces lower frequencies more effectively, is placed at the top of the element. The spiral coil, on the other hand, is more efficient in reproducing the midrange and high frequencies, and it is placed directly at the ear canal, so that the most critical areas for hearing are reproduced with full resolution.
ISOMAGNETIC® EAR CUP AND EAR CUSHION CONNECTION TECHNOLOGY Rinaro's Isomagnetic® connection technology makes changing ear cushions easy. It uses the magnetic field produced by the element to fix the ear cup in place, but at the same time the stray magnetic field is directed back to the element, which improves efficiency.

DUO EAR PILLOWS The completely new Duo ear cushions are specially tailored to fit the Empyrean II. Crafted from a premium blend of leather and Alcantara, the Duo ear cushions bring a contemporary dimension to the Empyrean II's signature sound profile. With leather forming the base and Alcantara covering the rest, these ear cushions create a harmonious balance that works wonderfully with all genres of music.
We researched and tested different material ratios to achieve the best possible result: impressive bass reproduction is thanks to the leather, and Alcantara brings beautiful sophistication and spacious spatial reproduction.
ANGLED ALCANTARA EAR CUSHION The angular ear cushions, made of soft foam covered with Alcantara, with a fine protective mesh on the grill, perfectly reproduce the complex details and nuances of recordings. The slanted shape creates more space inside the ear cushion, so the sound is airier, the bass is cleaner and the middle frequencies are better present. Together with the Empyrean II, they create a detailed, airy and precise listening experience for audiophile use.
