X-Tube – Overview
X-Tube Tube Amplifier – A revolutionary tube output amplifier built around a redesigned X-profile aluminum chassis. This innovative design brings back the iconic X-profile, which was a key element of the acclaimed Musical Fidelity X10D tube amplifier. The X-Tube is designed to enliven audio systems and open up new possibilities for future audio electronics.
From X10D to X-Tube
Designed by Musical Fidelity founder Antony Michaelson, the X10D was a play on words: eX-(10)ten-(D)ded – "extended". The new X-Tube faithfully follows the original circuit diagram and acts in the same way as an amplifier that extends the signal chain, connecting between the audio source and the amplifier. Its task is to improve the quality of the audio signal and add the sonic warmth characteristic of tubes to the line input connections. The connections are simple: 1x RCA input, 1x RCA output and RCA pass-through. In addition, the previous external power supply is integrated into the body of the device, which makes for a cleaner installation.
