The newest addition to the DEBUT series, the Debut PRO S BALANCED, features a 10" tonearm with removable cartridge carriage, Pick It S2 C cartridge, machined aluminum platter, Record Puck E center weight, VTA and Azimuth adjustments.
Our turntables demand conscious listening to music. The Debut PRO S BALANCED takes this philosophy to the extreme. We finished all parts except the polished spindle in matte black. Manual controls invite the listener to interact with the turntable: turn it on, place a record on the platter, move and lower the tonearm. Musical reward follows the tactile experience. No unnecessary switches, LEDs or labels distract from the essentials.

A milestone for the next decades
The Debut PRO S BALANCED brings a completely new design to Pro-Ject turntables. This audiophile turntable is impressive in every way – not only visually, but most importantly, sonically.
The precise CNC-milled parts are optically perfectly coordinated and result in the modern, simple, elegant and unprecedented design of the Debut PRO S.
The Debut PRO S BALANCED plays 33, 45 and 78 rpm records as standard. Speed change is controlled by an easy-to-use three-position (33 – OFF – 45) rocker switch. A round drive belt is included for 78 rpm records,
the Ortofon Stylus 78 stylus is not included. The electronic speed change provides convenience, but above all, the electronically regulated motor control circuit ensures precise and stable motor speed.
The motor and drive belt rotate the platter via a base plate, keeping the appearance of the player clean and stylish. The aluminum platter rests on a precision-machined main bearing made of stainless steel and bronze. The actual platter is made of steel: it has a mass of 1.7 kilograms and is internally damped with TPE. This is a technically excellent combination: the mass ensures a stable and precise rotation speed, and the TPE damping eliminates resonances.
New turntable
The die-cast aluminum platter is carefully machined and precisely balanced in an additional step to ensure a smooth rotating platter. It is antimagnetic, so MC cartridges will also work properly on it.
Inside the anti-magnetic heavy-duty aluminum platter is a ring made of TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) that helps dampen all platter resonances and minimizes wobble.
Azimuth & VTA adjustment
The newly designed new tonearm body stand allows for both azimuth and vertical tracking angle (VTA) adjustment. The tonearm height can be continuously adjusted by loosening two screws. These adjustment options allow the tonearm to adapt to changes in height, allowing you to use different turntable mats or different cartridges to achieve the desired sound quality. Setting the VTA and azimuth and experimenting with the results is crucial to getting every last nuance out of the cartridge.
