The Q Acoustics 5040 floor speaker is compact in size, but packed with advanced technology that enables excellent sound. The 5040 model is perfect for stereo listening, improving the sound of a TV, or for example as the front speakers of a home theater set. Although the speaker is compact, the sound is not "compact", thanks to the advanced design. The Continuous Curved Cone technology helps create a dynamic and punchy sound that you wouldn't expect to hear from a speaker of this size. Find out more and order better sound for yourself!
New technology in a stylish case The C3 (Continuous Curved Cone) cone profile of the midrange/bass element guarantees good bass reproduction and reproduction of the midrange and low treble. Harmonic distortion is reduced and matching with the treble element becomes easier.
The design of the 5000 series speakers is borrowed from Q Acoustics' flagship Concept collection. The difference with the Concept is that the housing of the elements has been modified even better. The treble element of each model is hermetically sealed and mechanically isolated from the front plate. The manufacturer's Point-2-Point technology stiffens the case and minimizes resonances precisely.
Refined and modern design is suitable for even the most demanding decorator The appearance of the C3 speaker element (Continuous Curved Cone's™) is restrained, as is the design based on the Consept speaker series. The front surfaces of the speakers are laminated with a layer of butyl rubber and a black acrylic border, which provides good vibration damping, but at the same time breaks the otherwise restrained appearance of the speaker.
C3 Continuous Curved Cone™ profile The midrange/bass driver represents a completely new design, with C3 Continuous Curved Cone™ cone technology at its core. The geometry of the cone requires an exceptionally high force to achieve optimal performance. A strong magnet combines with a large voice coil, which greatly increases the motor power of the element - resulting in a 50% increase in power endurance and control compared to an equivalent element with a 25.4 mm voice coil. This results in a significant improvement in the speaker's dynamic range - especially at bass frequencies.
Stiffened P2P housing minimizes resonances To achieve the best sound quality, the elements must work in the best possible way. Q Acoustics utilizes P2P (Point-to-Point) stiffening, which effectively improves the stiffness of the case and reduces the resonance of the case. Minimizing the case's resonance allows the speaker elements to function optimally and offers a cleaner and more accurate sound.
