All key components and subsystems have been designed from the ground up as Rockna Audio's own innovation, rejecting off-the-shelf chip solutions and OEM modules. Technology and structure
- Custom-designed architecture: Built on an AMD/ZynQ chipset and four FPGA modules responsible for each conversion stage
- 10-layer digital core includes network controller and streaming module
- Quiet, precisely regulated power supplies and copper radiation-shielded toroidal transformers
- ASRC-free digital PLL clock system that naturally mimics the rhythm and tempo of the analog source
- R2R ladder DAC modules with hybrid sign-magnitude architecture, FPGA driver, and supported sample rates up to billions of times per second
- Three pre-controllable digital filters (linear, minimum or hybrid) that utilize the Parks-McClellan algorithm and provide state-of-the-art impulse response
