Ideal for the kitchen, perfect for the office and simply pleasant to wake up in the bedroom. The new R1 brings style to any room and with the built-in high-quality Bluetooth receiver you can wirelessly stream music from your phone or computer.
Each generation of the R1 has been an evolution of the original, but with the R1 Mk4 we wanted it to be more advanced in both design and performance.
Using a precision molding process has allowed us to carefully profile the case, giving it a new look and a perfect finish to our new Light Cream and Espresso finishes. With acoustic treatment, the housing is sturdy and acoustically inert, providing an ideal housing for the electronics and NS+ element.
The design is further enhanced with a beautifully handcrafted grille. This adds more sophistication and creates a timeless Eames feel, but overall the design is still unique and distinctly Ruark.
Our previous R1 models received critical acclaim for their votes, but with the R1 Mk4 we've raised the bar! In particular, the latest neodymium NS + element used in our R3 and R5 models provides a smooth and extended frequency response. In the R1, the tuned cabinet of the Mk4 produces an impressive bass response. The system's class A / B linear amplifier produces exceptional dynamics and the adaptive equalizer provides a clearly audible sound at all volume levels.
BackPack II
With a battery status display and improved power management, the R1 Mk4 works even better and longer with the optional BackPack II, meaning you can enjoy the R1's rich sound when mains power is unavailable.
The BackPack II attaches seamlessly to the R1 and, once installed, can be left permanently in place as it automatically recharges whenever mains power is applied again. A full charge gives up to 12 hours of online listening, depending on the volume.
Compact remote control
For the first time, we have an optional compact remote control available for the R1. The remote control has four shortcut buttons that allow you to store and select your favorite radio channels easily.
