The popular mid-range phono preamplifier is now even better. The MOON 310LP takes the performance of its previously acclaimed predecessor to a new level, delivering accurate, natural and detailed sound reproduction from vinyl records.
Performance
When an audio component works great, why change it? Thanks to new technologies, the MOON 310LP has undergone several design updates that allow us to improve the sound of the original 310LP and reduce the noise of its internal power supply. This also reduces the need for a separate power supply.
Low noise background
Enjoy darker backgrounds and more natural-sounding music. Combine this with all the hallmarks of MOON: a clean, powerful and fast bass range, an open midrange and airy and wide-reaching treble. The performance of a mid-priced phono preamp has taken a significant leap forward. To support these improvements, the MOON 310LP is housed in a stylish half-width cabinet.
Very flexible
This enclosure allows the user to make numerous adjustments to resistive loading, capacitive loading, and gain level. Going even further, you can choose from two different equalization curves: either the classic RIAA curve or the IEC curve.
Balanced output
The package is completed by balanced outputs that allow full use of the connection to a balanced preamp or integrated amplifier, significantly improving noise floor, dynamics and midrange transparency.
Design features
- Large isolated power supply on its own circuit board, using a toroidal transformer and two voltage regulation stages.
- Output connections: single-ended RCA and balanced XLR.
- Compatible with external power supply.
- The power supply voltage regulation features i² DCf (Independent Inductive DC Filtering) technology; one inductor for each IC in the audio circuit signal path – a total of 2 stages.
- The power supply uses custom-made MOON electrolytic capacitors.
- Four-layer PCBs with multi-layer copper traces shorten the signal path, ensuring greater audio fidelity and a significantly improved signal-to-noise ratio.
- Symmetrical circuit design, with extremely high-quality components precisely matched for optimal sound quality.
