To continually push the boundaries of audio purity, the MOON 820S power supply was born from meticulous research and development and an uncompromising pursuit of perfection.

- Designed for both digital and analog devices
- Two custom-made, Simaudio-in-house toroidal transformers with reduced magnetic, electrical and thermal losses. This improves current transfer and reduces the regulation coefficient, which translates into faster power delivery and better dynamics. There are two transformers – one for the analog power supply and one for the digital power supply.
- The analog and digital power supplies have two special “pi filters” immediately after the voltage equalization. They reduce mains noise using 40,000 µF of capacitance (4 × 10,000 µF) and dual chokes (2 × 20 mH).
- Both the analog and digital power supplies feature four stages of Simaudio's proprietary M-R2S circuit: a fully discrete voltage regulation circuit, where a precision reference feeds an amplifier consisting of multiple ICs and transistors instead of a single control chip. The M-R2S produces an exceptionally fast, highly accurate and virtually noise-free DC voltage, with a voltage level that remains perfectly stable.
- Four-layer PCBs with pure copper conductors and very low impedance, resulting in significantly shorter signal paths and significantly lower noise levels.
