Audiokauppa tutustui KEF Music Galleryyn Lontoossa

In October we were able to visit the KEF Music Gallery in London. We entered a space that at first looked like just a trendy café. After a while, however, our eyes fell on the various speakers that decorated the walls of the room. Music was playing in the background and the atmosphere was relaxed. The doors to the showroom are open to everyone and anyone can drop by the café. A soundproofed studio had also been built in the same space, where you can record podcasts or make music, for example. The large windows opening onto the street gave the space light and space, but kept out the noise. It was disconcerting to stand in such a quiet space in the center of London.

The downstairs was reserved for reserved guests only, where we were allowed into a living room-like room to listen to how the KEF speakers worked both for listening to music and watching a movie. For someone who is used to this kind of thing, the soundscape was overwhelming and I was ready to stay on the couch and watch a full-length movie. Cold shivers crept up my skin as the multi-channel speaker system revealed even the smallest sound details and it felt as if the characters in the movie were in the room with us. The experience was really great and I immediately understood why people invest in good sound at home too. When you don't know what you're missing, you can't miss it. But now that I got to experience this, it's hard to live without it.

So it may be that a pair of small speakers suitable for watching movies will soon appear in my home and I will start enjoying watching movies more at home. I have become interested in watching musicals in particular, especially if the sound quality is of this quality. I still get chills when I remember sitting on the couch watching Rebecca Ferguson's character singing Never Enough from the movie The Greatest Showman. All in all, a great experience and a successful visit to KEF's flagship showroom.
