Home theater or stereo?
It is generally thought that a home theater is suitable for movie enthusiasts and a two-channel stereo system for music. However, a properly chosen home theater system can also work well for listening to music. Think about your emphasis: equally, a 2-channel stereo system can work fine for TV and movie playback.
One piece of equipment or a multi-room system?
For many, one place at home is enough for listening to music, others live in a big house. We want to listen to music easily and flexibly in different rooms of the home. If you want a multi-room system, you also have to think about whether I will install it myself or whether I want the equipment installed on a turnkey basis.
Traditional hi-fi or discreet design system?
Does the appearance and placement of traditional appliances in my room bother me? The alternatives are then either to hide traditional devices inside suitable furniture or a compact and stylish combination device.
Background music or concentrated enjoyment? If you're passionate about music and possibly record collecting, you'll probably listen more and concentrate. An equally suitable way for many is to enjoy music while on vacation from other activities or work.
