NOVEMILA 9000 High-End Speaker Series
Merging advanced aircraft engine and speaker technology
The new 9000 Series consists of some of the most technologically advanced car speakers ever produced. Technology and design come together in a new and unusual aesthetic, thanks to the particular flower shape of the flanges around the tweeter dome, and in the baskets of the cone speakers. But the unique shape was not to achieve an aesthetic form factor. It is an expression of ESB’s innovation.

"The Novemila series by ESB pushes the boundaries of in-car speaker design far forward. A few but select speaker models for which every detail has been rethought and redesigned. Exclusive materials, state-of-the-art workmanship, elegant and functional design, excellent musicality. For the two tweeters, 25 and 28 millimetres, special neodymium (N52H) has been used for a double opposing magnet, with low-carbon steel pole plates. This increases efficiency, power handling, useful bandwidth and minimizes distortion of the dome made of very light Japanese silk with integrated suspensions, air flow control and the iconic “flowers faceplate”, which has not only aesthetic but also acoustic lens functions. Like the tweeter, the 165-millimetre woofer has also been designed keeping the air flow under control. An oversized neodymium magnet allows generous and even flow in the gap where a underhang voice coil remains inside for the entire excursion. The carbon fibre membrane is made under vacuum in an autoclave, a high-cost but incredibly efficient technology. Two midranges, 35 and 40 millimetres, recall the woofer solutions and the ESB iconic UMA (medium-high unit) composed of tweeter and midrange in a single flange, reaches maturity and excellent performance. The entire ESB Novemila Series rewrites the paradigms of car speakers, with musical performance at the centre of a technologically advanced project and huge fashion Italian design."
