"The Loudest Family on the Block"
May we introduce: The new Alpine R-Series 6×9″ coaxial speaker, where you will find numerous innovations, both inside and out. And all this just to improve the sound quality even more!
CFRP cone
One of the most important innovations is the CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer) cone, which is a carbon fiber reinforced polymer. The cone material is very light, but really stiff. The traditional cone material is looser at the edges than in the middle, but CFRP makes it possible to stiffen the cone material during the manufacturing phase, especially in the edge areas, and the end result is a rigid and inflexible material in the entire cone area. This gives accuracy to the playback, and the accuracy is not lost when the volume is increased more briskly.
Even better performance.
The voice coils of the second generation R-Series collection have grown from 30 millimeters to 35 millimeters. At the same time, the size of the neodymium magnet has also increased, and with these, the speaker motor has become stronger, which in turn gives control and more power to the bass side. However, the speaker's external dimensions have grown very moderately, so easy installation is still one of the cornerstones of the R-Series collection.
HAMR suspension
Alpine's patented HAMR (High Amplitude Mutli-Roll) is also in the renewed R-Series speakers. This gives precision to the repetition, because thanks to the Multi-Roll design, the suspension moves much more smoothly compared to the traditional suspension and the trajectory of the cone remains linear.
Hi-Res Audio
Like the mid-bass, the R-series tweeters use a CFRP cone, which enables playback to reach up to 40kHz, and the element meets the requirements of Hi-Res Audio.
The new R-Series tweeter is really stress-free and the sound is balanced and just as soft as the more expensive fabric dome tweeters.
Even more accurate reproduction
The new R-Series midbass have aluminum voice coils instead of copper, and the coils are half a centimeter larger than before (currently 35mm). The end result is an even more accurate midrange and stronger impact sounds in the bass end.
Metal networks
All R-series speakers are delivered with metal nets.
Versatile installation accessories
The 6 x 9″ R-Series speakers are delivered with versatile installation accessories, which allow installation in many cars.
Treble orientation
The R-S69.2 tweeters are directional, as in all other R-Series coaxials.
