DESIGNED TO MEET THE HIGHEST REQUIREMENTS
Denon's new DCD-A110 has been carefully designed to exceed the already high quality standards of our previous SACD players. The special quality Limited Edition silver graphite finish, heavy housing, cast metal legs and Denon's own patented Advanced SVH CD mechanism make the DCD-A110 a real find for music lovers. Designed and produced with a lot of heart, the DCD-A110 is as elegant to look at as it is to listen to, and the 110-year logo adorning the front of the instrument handsomely celebrates the new milestone.
Ultra AL32 processing with 384kHz/32bit support
The DCD-A110 is equipped with Ultra AL32 Processing technology, the latest analog waveform reconstruction technology from Denon. Ultra AL32 processing uses data interpolation algorithms and supports Hi-Res 192 kHz / 24-bit PCM signal input. These algorithms interpolate the points that should be found before and after a large amount of data in order to achieve a "smooth" waveform that is as close as possible to the shape of the original signal.
These algorithms up-sample the bandwidth from the original content, smoothing the waveform and improving the sound reproduction. Ultra AL32 processing increases bandwidth processing from the previous generation's 384 kHz to 1.536 MHz. By carefully restoring the information lost during digital recording, the resulting reproduction is highly detailed, distortion-free, precise, richly expressive in the lower range, and beautifully faithful to the original recording.
Quad DAC configuration
The DCD-A110 introduces a new Quad DAC configuration for more efficient and better spatial reproduction of sound. Each DAC converts the large amount of information resulting from the Ultra AL32 processing to forward the left and right channel signals. The configuration allows the power supply to be bundled for the best sound quality, and even allows the performance of individual DAC chips to be exceeded for exceptional sound reproduction. This cleans up the low noise level by improving the S/N ratio by 4 to 6dB depending on the content sampling frequency (6dB for PCM and 4dB for DSD), as well as correspondingly improving overall harmonic distortion. Best of all, the DCD-A110 does not use the post-filter of traditional op-amps. It is equipped with a fully isolated filter stage and carefully selected custom audio components selected by Denon's sound master to reproduce excellent performance and a wide sound field.
DAC Master clocking
Since accuracy is a prerequisite for high performance, the DCD-A110 is equipped with two clock oscillators, one for each fundamental sampling frequency (44.1kHz and 48kHz), which can be switched between frequencies to suppress jitter. High-quality signal clocking serves as a reference point for the interplay of the four DA converters to allow the digital circuitry to reach its full potential.
To deliver the cleanest clock signal directly to the DACs, the DCD-A110 is equipped with triple-function buffer-type multiplexers. The master clock signal fed from the crystal oscillator passes through the buffer circuit only once to the DAC, allowing only 18 fs of internal jitter (femtosecond = 10-15 seconds).

To deliver the cleanest clock signal directly to the DACs, the DCD-A110 is equipped with triple-function buffer-type multiplexers. The main clock signal fed from the crystal oscillator passes through the buffer circuit only once to the DAC, allowing only 18 fs of internal jitter (femtosecond = 10 to the power of 15 parts/second).
A dedicated completely separate power supply for the analog audio circuit
The DCD-A110's analog power supply circuit uses a discrete design optimized with Denon's original high-capacity (3300 µF) block capacitor used in the analog audio circuit amplifier after the D/A converter. The DCD-A110 utilizes a wealth of custom components, such as a high-power bipolar junction transistor, a fully discrete voltage regulator circuit, and high-quality electrolytic and polyphenylene sulfide capacitors. These specially designed parts have been developed in cooperation with selected manufacturers based on repeated listening tests. These parts allow for a clean, yet powerful and stable power delivery, producing a sound that has a pleasing balance between a strong foundation and delicate details.
Advanced SVH Mechanism, Denon's original record mechanism
The disc mechanism of the DCD-A110 player includes the reference class Advanced SVH (Suppress Vibration Hybrid) mechanism. The signal paths have been optimized to be as short as possible and the circuit boards have been minimized so that no extra waste current or interference can arise. The different parts of the disc mechanism are made of different materials, such as the copper top panel, which improves rigidity, the cast aluminum of the disc slide, and the mechanism supports made of 2 mm thick steel. In addition, the mechanism's low center of mass eliminates vibration caused by the rotation of the disc, and the structure of the mechanism effectively prevents the effects of external vibration. By eliminating unwanted vibration, unnecessary servo functions and other power-consuming functions can be minimized, so that the digital signals on the disk can be read in good conditions with the best possible accuracy.
Direct grounding of the mechanical structure
The integrity of music signals is degraded when they are subjected to internal vibration caused by the rotation of the disc or the power transformer, or vibration caused by the sound pressure of the speakers and vibration of the case. To protect against such effects, Denon engineers designed a vibration damping structure called "Direct Mechanical Ground Construction". In this implementation, the power transformers, which are themselves the source of vibration, are placed as close as possible to the feet of the DCD-A110, where unwanted vibration is channeled directly into the chassis and prevented from affecting nearby circuits. Also by placing the disk mechanism - the largest mass part - low in the center of the base, the low center of gravity effectively absorbs the internal vibration caused by the rotation of the disk and protects the mechanism from external vibration as well. To further prevent external vibration, the 1.2 mm thick main frame is reinforced with two 1.6 mm thick steel plates to produce a very rigid three-layer structure with sufficient anti-vibration mass.
