May we introduce: the replacement for the GAS GPX range:
GAS MAX S2
GAS's new MAX S2 is a brutal sub collection that covers 12″ and 15″ speakers, with 2 x 2 ohm voice coils.
Compromises have been left out of this collection and the 12-inch "as dekokonen" includes, among other things, a triple magnet (3 x 108oz), voice coil DVS2 cooling, double nomex lower suspensions, a really sturdy upper suspension that is glued and double-stitched to the cone, three-inch full-copper voice coils (2 x 2ohm), fixed 6mm² speaker cables etc.etc.
Thanks to all of these, the element has a brisk 2500W RMS / 5000W Max power rating!
Tough, tougher, MAX S2
MAX S2 subbars have a large upper suspension that is glued and double-stitched to the cone. The upper suspension keeps the cone's trajectory linear and controlled throughout its range of play.
The cone is a paper pulp reinforced with mica glaze, with an IMPP injection-molded polypropylene dust cup in the middle, with a stylish GAS 3D logo.
New cooling
MAX S2 is DVS2 with cooling, with which the heat from the voice coil can be efficiently conducted away. The trajectory of the cone has been increased and the risk of the coil grounding has been minimized by increasing the space below the voice coil. The 2 x 2 ohm voice coils are 100% OFC solid copper.
Fixed cables
"Es 2nd" subwoofers have fixed 6mm² cables with a length of 80cm. For a 12″ rack, the housing recommendations are 58 – 59.5 liters and the element is recommended to be used only in a reflex housing.
