Grado GS1000x
Grado's Statement collection has now been renewed with x-series updates: new elements, cable, strap and wood qualities!
The Grado GS1000x is the latest development version of the headset, which has deservedly been in the Grado collection for more than two decades. For the first time ever, the Grado GS1000x combines not only mahogany but also exotic ipê wood, which works well together with mahogany both sonically and structurally: mahogany brings thoughtful warmth to the sound, and ipê acts as a solid base for any sound passing through its roots.
Precisely matched wood grades and element
The distinctive, distinctive sound image of the GS1000x is thanks to the combination of the 50 mm headphone element, the massive cushions and the large housing structure. The new 50 mm X Driver element is perfectly matched to bring out the warm sound of mahogany. The Element has a stronger magnetic circuit and a lighter voice coil and a redesigned membrane. As a result, the headphone is more efficient, less distorted and better preserves the harmonic unity of the music.
Structural reforms of the X series
Other innovations have also been made: the headphone cable has replaced the plastic with a more flexible fabric covering and the interior has been upgraded to super-hardened 12-wire copper for a cleaner sound. The new leather headband is embroidered with white stitching.
All Grado headphones are handcrafted in Brooklyn, New York.
