GT Series Design
Drawing inspiration from the golden age of hi-fi, the GT-5000 is inspired by Yamaha's original Gigantic and Tremendous series of turntables, which featured heavy wooden frames and a platter that dampened vibration for improved sound reproduction and performance.
Straight and stiff tonearm brings openness and transparency to the sound reproduction
Capturing sound accurately from the sound source is a mandatory first step in producing authentic and true Hi-Fi sound.
The flagship GT-5000 model features a straight and rigid tonearm, designed to deliver superior rigidity and a balance of weight and mechanics, resulting in improved sound quality.
The rigid and structurally simple mechanism ensures that no separate weight is needed to dampen the internal force.
Specially designed traction strap for stabilizing the turntable
The GT-5000's specially designed drive belt minimizes motor impact and produces an open and smooth sound.
The original GT concept used internal mass to prevent rotation. This is a built-in feature in the GT-5000, which uses a drive belt to prevent rotation.
