YAMAHA'S UNIQUE FLOATING AND BALANCED POWER AMPLIFIER TECHNOLOGY
Yamaha has optimized its patented floating and balanced power amplifier technology for this headphone amplifier. The four power amplifier circuits on the plus and minus sides of the left and right channels of the output stage are floating, which makes the output stage phase completely symmetrical. Headphones can be used without changing the amplifier configuration between balanced and unbalanced, minimizing any potential differences in sound quality due to different output connections. In addition, all circuits, including the power supply, are completely independent of ground, and the influence of even the slightest voltage fluctuations and external ground noise is completely eliminated. By maximizing these sound quality advantages, the amplifier produces natural and effortless sound, allowing you to fully relax while enjoying your entertainment for long periods of time.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE ESS 32-BIT DA CONVERTER
To achieve the premium sound quality befitting Yamaha's high-end headphone amplifier, we use ESS Technology's ES9038PRO converter, which is in a class of its own among DA converters for its superior small-signal audio reproduction. The device's master clock uses an ultra-low phase noise crystal oscillator to achieve precise DA conversion. The on-chip eight-channel DA converter performs conversion on four channels on the right and left sides. The four channels provide exceptionally high-quality audio output with a wide dynamic range and a premium signal-to-noise ratio. This allows you to enjoy a superb headphone experience where you can hear even the background sounds of a concert hall and the subtlest details of the instrument sounds.
SEPARATE STRUCTURE AND BALANCED TRANSMISSION
All main stages after the DAC are combined with a balanced circuit and a separate configuration, enabling a fully balanced transfer from the DAC output to the headphone jack. In addition, the usual single-ended (unbalanced) inputs are internally converted to balanced, so that the unique advantages of balanced transfer and amplification, such as reduced external noise and sound quality degradation, can be utilized for a wide range of input sources. When headphones that support balancing are used, the common impedance of the transfer system is eliminated, further improving the signal separation that is essential for headphone listening.
DYNAMICS
To perfectly convey the contrast between the sound's calm stillness and dramatic movement, the amplifier features two toroidal transformers and a unique, highly rigid structure. Without compromising, we have achieved excellent low-frequency response that is responsive to even the smallest sounds, luxurious volume and exceptional clarity. LOW-FREQUENCIES REPRODUCTION AND EXCELLENT SPACIOUSNESS WITH TWO TOROID TRANSFORMERS
Separate transformers are used in the signal circuits of the pre-stage of the power supply section and in the second stage of the amplifier section. The power supply is separate, which minimizes noise caused by mutual signal interference. In addition, the use of toroidal transformers significantly reduces magnetic flux leakage. The use of a double winding also reduces voltage fluctuations, which in turn improves the stability of the power supply and produces wonderful spaciousness and strong low-frequency reproduction.
EXTREMELY RIGID STRUCTURE PREVENTS THE IMPACT OF VIBRATION ON SOUND
To prevent adverse effects on audio signals caused by external and internal vibrations, the unit features a robust construction that combines an original design concept with highly rigid parts. The L-shaped top surface is made of an 8mm thick extruded aluminum panel, and the naturally vibrating toroidal transformer is firmly attached to a 2mm thick steel plate. Strong support is provided by a thick front panel, a double rear panel, and a unique cabinet structure with a base plate at the bottom. The durable cabinet eliminates unnecessary vibration and enables powerful yet sensitive low-frequency reproduction, so you can feel the full power of the music and true realism.
STABLE METAL LEGS
The eye-catching L-shaped HA-L7A amplifier features five conical steel feet at each corner of the chassis. There are dampers between each foot and the base plate, effectively eliminating all vibrations and supporting the amplifier firmly and stably, even on a desk or tabletop. The 5.3kg chassis and all components together effectively eliminate unwanted vibrations for focused and realistic sound reproduction.

LOW NOISE CIRCUIT STRUCTURE AND HIGH QUALITY PARTS
The HA-L7A amplifier features a low-noise design with three isolated circuit boards: a main board that handles small signals, an amplifier board and amplifier, and a system power supply board. In addition, the main board is designed to eliminate unwanted crosstalk between digital and analog signals by using a multilayer board and eliminating ground loops. The volume IC is the MUSES72323, known for its exceptionally low distortion and low-noise output. The power supply IC manufactured by Analog Devices has low output noise and high ripple suppression. The converter section is the ES9842QPRO manufactured by ESS Technology. By using only high-quality parts carefully selected through repeated listening tests, we have achieved the most natural sound field reproduction possible.

The HA-L7A amplifier features two balanced headphone jacks on the front panel, allowing you to enjoy the precise high quality of a balanced circuit, and one unbalanced headphone jack, with gold plating to reduce contact loss. PRECISE OLED DISPLAY
The top panel of the unit features a stunning OLED display that displays a variety of important information in a very easy-to-read format, such as the input source and its sampling frequency, the volume, and the name of the SOUND FIELD mode being used.
