YAMAHA'S UNIQUE FLOATING AND BALANCED POWER AMPLIFIER TECHNOLOGY

Yamaha has optimized its patented floating and balanced power amplifier technology for this headphone amplifier. The four power amplifier circuits on the plus and minus sides of the left and right channels of the output stage are floating, thanks to which the switching phase of the output stage is completely symmetrical. The headphones can be used without changing the configuration of the amplifier between balanced and unbalanced, in which case the possible differences in sound quality due to different output connections are minimized. In addition, all circuits, including the power supply, are completely independent of grounding, and the effect of the smallest voltage fluctuations and external ground disturbance is completely eliminated. By maximizing these sound quality benefits, the amplifier produces a natural and unstressed sound, and you can relax perfectly with your entertainment for long periods at a time.

HIGH PERFORMANCE ESS 32-BIT DA CONVERTER

To achieve premium sound quality befitting Yamaha's top-of-the-line headphone amplifier, we use ESS Technology's ES9038PRO converter, which is in a class of its own among DA converters for its top-quality sound reproduction of small signals. The main clock of the device uses a crystal oscillator with very low phase noise to realize accurate DA conversion. An on-chip eight-channel DAC performs the conversion on four channels on the right and left sides. Four channels provide an exceptionally high-quality sound output with a wide dynamic range and a first-class signal-to-noise ratio. This way you can enjoy a wonderful headphone experience where you can hear even the background sounds of the concert hall and the subtlest details of the sounds of the instruments.

SEPARATE STRUCTURE AND BALANCED TRANSMISSION

All main stages after the DA converter are connected to a balanced circuit and separate assembly, allowing a fully balanced transfer from the output of the DA converter to the headphone jack. In addition, standard single-ended (unbalanced) inputs are internally converted to balanced, so that the unique benefits of balanced transfer and amplification, including reduction of external noise and audio degradation, can be utilized across a wide range of input sources. When using headphones that support balancing, the common impedance of the transmission system is removed, which further improves signal separation, which is crucial for headphone listening.

DYNAMICS

In order to perfectly convey the contrast between the quietness of the sound and the dramatic movement, the amplifier has two toroidal transformers and a unique, very rigid construction. LOW FREQUENCY REPEAT AND EXCELLENT SPACE WITH TWO TOROID TRANSFORMERS

Separate transformers are used in the front-stage signal circuits of the power supply part and in the second stage of the amplifier part. The power supply is separate, which minimizes noise due to mutual signal interference. In addition, using toroidal transformers significantly reduces magnetic flux leakage. Using a double coil also reduces voltage fluctuations, which in turn improves the stability of the power source and produces a wonderful space and powerful low-frequency reproduction.

EXTREMELY RIGID STRUCTURE PREVENTS THE EFFECT OF VIBRATION ON THE SOUND

In order to prevent the harmful effects of external and internal vibration on the audio signals, the unit has a solid construction that combines an original design concept with very rigid parts. The L-shaped top surface is made of 8 mm thick pressed aluminum panel, and the naturally vibrating toroidal transformer is firmly attached to a 2 mm thick steel plate. Strong support is ensured by a thick front panel, a double back panel and a unique case design with a base plate at the bottom. The durable housing eliminates unnecessary vibration and enables powerful yet sensitive low-frequency reproduction so you can feel the music's full powerful energy and true realism.

STABLE METAL FEET

The eye-catching L-shaped HA-L7A amplifier has five cone-shaped steel legs at each corner of the frame. Between each leg and the base plate there are dampers that effectively remove all vibration and support the amplifier firmly and stably even on a desk or table top. The 5.3 kg body and all the parts together effectively eliminate unwanted vibration to produce a focused and realistic sound reproduction.

LOW NOISE CIRCUIT STRUCTURE AND HIGH QUALITY COMPONENTS

The HA-L7A amplifier features a low-noise design with three circuit boards isolated: a main board that processes small signals, an amplifier board and an amplifier, and a system power supply board. In addition, the main board is designed to eliminate unwanted crosstalk between digital and analog signals by using a multi-layer board and eliminating ground loops. The volume microcircuit is the MUSES72323, known for its exceptionally low distortion and low-noise output. The power supply microcircuit manufactured by Analog Devices has low output noise and high ripple removal. The converter part has an ES9842QPRO made by ESS Technology. By using only high-quality components carefully selected through repeated listening tests, we have achieved the most natural sound field reproduction possible.
