Pair of Yamaha HS3 active speakers
Yamaha's trusted HS studio monitor series is being completed. The HS3 follows the design philosophy and precision of the previous models in a smaller size. High-quality compact Studio monitors contain D-class amplifiers, sturdy MDF cases and high-quality bass and treble elements that produce sound faithful to the original recording. Yamaha's "Twisted Flare Port" technology, known from larger models, reduces noise caused by air movement in the bass reflex port for clear and precise bass reproduction. These create HS3's exceptional sound image and depth. The sound is reproduced naturally with the entire frequency response without coloration of the sound.
The HS3 is equipped with Room Control and High Trim adjustments, which can optimize the reproduction according to the environment - for example, reducing unnecessary, exaggerated low sounds that can occur when the speakers are placed close to the wall. On the back panel, there are XLR/TRS combos, RCA and stereo mini connectors, thanks to which the monitors can be widely connected to various professional and consumer devices, such as computers, sound cards, mixers and electronic instruments. The most used functions - power switch, volume knob and headphone connection - have been brought within easy reach on the front of the speaker.
The HS3's compact size is made possible by its highly efficient Class D amplifier. The use of one amplifier for each speaker has enabled both lower weight and simpler cable connections.
