The intentionally simple design also minimizes the signal path, preventing energy loss and creating a lower impedance for highly accurate sound reproduction.
Floating and balanced MOSFET power amplifier
Compared to traditional power amplifiers, where power is supplied through a power transistor and the negative polarity is connected to ground, the M-5000's power supply is connected directly to all positive and negative output terminals.
Floating the entire power amplifier circuit off ground prevents any unwanted effects on the sound reproduction from small voltage fluctuations or ground noise.
This design also provides an ideal symmetrical configuration for the use of MOSFET power amplifiers and improves the driveability of low-impedance speakers.
Robust frame construction with mechanical grounding concept
The M-5000 has been designed from the ground up to minimize rigidity - reducing unwanted vibration for optimal Sonic performance.
Additionally, using a mechanical grounding concept and bolting the power amplifier, coupling capacitors and heat sink directly to the robust and streamlined structure ensures that the components are fully supported and the effect of vibration is eliminated.
Massive toroidal core transformer and low impedance structure
To deliver Hi-Fi performance, a massive toroidal transformer is coupled with a 3-millimeter-thick brass base to prevent unwanted vibration.
In addition, due to less current leakage, the power transformer also does not affect the surrounding audio circuits.
