The elegant appearance of the Yamaha NS-2000A combines the sophistication of a piano with the design method of a speaker. The speakers feature the glossy surface finish typical of Yamaha grand pianos, which is represented in only a few Yamaha products. All speaker units in the NS-2000A use a new Harmonious Diaphragm™ speaker cone made from a blend of ZYLON® fiber, which offers excellent sound velocity and minimal internal loss, and spruce, a material used in Yamaha grand piano soundboards that is essential for sound transmission. This ensures accurate and realistic sound color across the entire sound range, emphasizing its harmonic overtones and making music richer and more beautiful.

PERFECT MUSIC PLAYBACK
Yamaha's patented RS (Resonance Suppression) chambers are installed at the rear of the tweeter and midrange unit, allowing even the tiniest nuances of musical instruments and vocals to be accurately distinguished. Two specially designed tubes prevent unwanted tube resonance from forming behind the diaphragm without relying on traditional sound-absorbing materials, enlivening the natural sound while preserving the subtle nuances of the original musical composition.
THE AUTHENTIC PRESENCE OF MUSIC
Conventional speakers use a lot of sound-absorbing materials to prevent standing waves from forming in the speaker cabinet. Unfortunately, they also take away much of the music's inherent liveliness. The NS-2000A uses Yamaha's patented Acoustic Absorber resonator tube to eliminate standing waves. At the same time, the amount of sound-absorbing material is kept to a minimum, so that the original realism of the music, which is usually lost due to sound absorption, is reproduced with full energy and strength.
FIRST-CLASS VIBRATION CONTROL
The foundation of producing excellent sound is determining how sound is generated in the speaker cabinet and where vibrations are damped. This is strongly true in the manufacture of both musical instruments and speakers, and the NS-2000A speaker cabinet construction uses cutting-edge technology that draws on musical instrument research and development and highly accurate FEM analysis using laser vibrometers. The frame cross-members are optimally reinforced to ensure very stable low-frequency response, providing a safe and comfortable musical foundation with a wide soundstage without sacrificing anything.
