The headphones have speaker elements placed near the ears. The sound travels to the eardrum without going through a separate space. Thanks to this, the sound source can be heard clearly, but it is difficult to locate individual voices and instruments.

3D SOUNDFIELD utilizes over 30 years of experience in CINEMA DSP processing in home theater equipment and transforms 2-channel listening into a multi-channel experience. The feature locates the sound source using patented HRTF (head-related transfer function) audio technology, which synthesizes binaural sound and converts a two-channel sound source into a three-dimensional sound field.

OPTIMIZED LISTENING EXPERIENCE

The internal microphones monitor the ear canal and the conditions constantly and thus guarantee a pure reference sound - the result is a wonderful listening experience.

The size and shape of the head and ears affect how each person interprets the sound coming from the headphones.

Yamaha's Listening Optimizer uses a button microphone that measures seal and air leaks in different shaped ears every 20 seconds. The playback is optimized in real-time to correct the difference between the source and the actual conditions, so the sound is fully adapted to the listener.

TURN THE NOISE, NOT THE MUSIC

Yamaha's unique noise reduction technology never interferes with the sound source, but fades out the noise and produces a clean sound signal.

Active noise cancellation tends to lose low-frequency signals during music playback. Advanced noise reduction technology utilizes a new approach and suppresses background noise without processing the music signal.

Button microphones listen to the combined signals of music and noise and separate background noise and music signal processing. This is achieved by isolating the two from each other using a new and unique algorithm.

The signal collected by the internal microphone analyzes the noise and calculates the sound to be removed from the playback signal so that only the background noise is removed. Thus, the music signal does not need to be processed unnecessarily, resulting in a cleaner listening experience.
