Wireless Apple CarPlay
The iLX-705D-VW works wirelessly with the iPhone and you can, among other things, receive and make calls, dictate messages using Siri and use, for example, Google Maps, Apple's Maps application, WhatsApp or Spotify streaming while the phone is in your pocket.
You can easily use Siri by pressing the player's voice control button once.

Android Auto
Android Auto enables the use of many applications on the phone directly from the iLX-705D-VW screen. You just connect your phone to the player with a USB cable and all Android Auto applications are immediately available. You can use your own favorite applications for navigation, such as Google Maps or Waze, and you can play music via, for example, Spotify or YouTube Music or Tidal.

Entertainment on the big screen
In addition to the traditional RDS tuner, you also have a digital DAB radio and the option to play video files (MP4, MOV, FLV, MKV) via the USB connection. Through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, you can use numerous entertainment and utility applications. The pictures show EasyPark parking management in Apple CarPlay view and Yle Areena Audio's view in Android Auto.

Front and rear cameras (optional)
Alpine iLX-705D-VW has two camera connections. You can connect a forward and reverse camera to the player and you will get the reverse camera image on the screen as soon as you switch on the reverse gear.
In addition to the standard reversing camera, Alpine's range also includes MultiView cameras, the viewing angles of which you can change from the touch screen, and the MultiView cameras also have a wider viewing angle and better brightness.

If your car has a VW factory-installed camera*, the iLX-705D-VW Premium player supports factory-installed cameras and parking sensors.
*) does not support Volkswagen's factory-installed RGB camera.

Original steering wheel buttons for use
If your car is equipped with steering wheel buttons, these also work seamlessly with the Alpine player. You can perform basic functions without taking your hands off the wheel, such as muting the player, changing e.g. the program source or radio channel, adjusting the volume, etc.
If you use an iPhone, you can also activate Siri with one press of a button.

Two USB inputs
The Alpine iLX-705D-VW does not contain a CD/DVD drive, but thanks to the two USB connections, you can, for example, charge your phone through one connector, and the other connector can hold a USB stick or hard drive from which you play music and video files.

The world's first car stereo with a class D amplifier
The Alpine iLX-705D/-F905D/-F115D are the world's first car retrofits with a built-in 4 x 50W Class D amplifier. The advantage of class D is an incredibly good efficiency (about 90%) compared to the efficiency of a class AB amplifier (about 50-70%). New and almost silent high-speed fans keep the player cool.

Pioneer in sound quality
Alpine's sound quality has become a concept that other instrument brands are always compared to.
A 56-band parametric equalizer, two-way crossover filters, six-channel digital delay controls, and separate Bass Engine SQ and MediaXpander allow you to adjust the sound exactly the way you want it.
And it didn't end there, because the iLX-705D-VW is Hi-Res Audio certified and the player is able to play 96kHZ / 1.536 kbps lossless files from USB in FLAC, WAV and APE formats.

The TIDAL app
Alpine ILX-705D / ILX-F905D / ILX-F115D are the world's first retrofit car stereos that enable streaming completely uncompressed music from TIDAL. With Alpine, a WiFi connection is created to e.g. the phone's hotspot, after which Alpine is directly connected to TIDAL's servers. The music is not compressed or compressed at any point and you get the best possible sound quality!
When the phone's hotspot and TIDAL are active, Apple CarPlay exceptionally requires the phone to be connected to the player with a USB cable.
The TIDAL application requires updating the player's software to version 2.0.000

7″ WXGA screen
The Alpine iLX-705D-VW has a 1280 x 720p (WXGA) resolution, which means the screen has more than 2.7 million pixels. Thanks to this, all icons, menus and, for example, navigation map information are displayed really sharp and clear. The iLX-705D-VW contains Alpine's best 7″ screen ever.
