Wireless Apple CarPlay
The iLX-F905D-G7 works wirelessly with the iPhone and you can, among other things, receive and make calls, dictate messages using Siri or Whatsapp and use, for example, Google Maps, Apple's Maps application or Spotify streaming while the phone is in your pocket.

Android Auto
Android Auto is standard on all Android phones with Android 11.0 or higher operating system. With Android Auto, you can access Spotify, Google Maps, Waze, etc. and use them from the player's screen when you connect the USB cable to your phone. The iLX-F905D-G7's USB connection has a 2.4 amp output, so the phone charges quickly while driving.

Travel comfort
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto quickly bring comfort to travel. You can access dozens of different applications on the phone directly from Alpine's touchscreen, and if you're used to using, for example, Spotify, Supla or BookBeat's services from your phone, you'll control all of these from Alpine's large touchscreen in the future.
Of course, you can also listen to audiobooks, streaming services or internet radios at the same time as you use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto navigation applications.

Car settings management
When the VW Golf's factory-installed player is replaced, it is especially important not to lose the car's settings controlled via the original player. Alpine offers a unique solution for this, which allows you to modify the car's settings from the touch screen of your new player.*

You won't lose the reversing camera or radar
If your car has Volkswagen's original reversing camera and/or original reversing radars, these also work seamlessly with the iLX-F905D-G7. If you want, you can also get the radar and camera view on Alpine's 11" screen at the same time.

Original steering wheel buttons
Your car's original steering wheel buttons also work with the iLX-F905D-G7. You can perform basic functions without taking your hands off the wheel, such as muting the player, changing e.g. the program source or radio channel, adjusting the volume, etc.

MFD display
Alpine iLX-F905D-G7 also supports the car's MFD (Multi Function Display) in the instrument panel. You can see, among other things, the name of the radio channel and the information of the song being played, just like on the original player.

Air conditioner display
When you adjust the car's air conditioning in the VW Golf, Alpine displays this information on a large screen and indicates, among other things, the temperatures on the driver's and passenger's side, information on the seat heaters, and the blowing strength.
The information comes on the screen automatically for a few seconds when any setting of the air conditioner is changed.

Two USB inputs
Alpine iLX-F905D-G7 comes with a USB/Aux connection, which you use to replace the car's original USB connection. This allows you to use the USB connection as you are used to with the original player.

Original microphone
If your car has Volkswagen's own hands-free microphone, the iLX-F905D-G7 is compatible with it, which makes installation easier and faster.
Note: If your car does not have an original microphone, you need a microphone (spare part number: 3BO 035 711 B B41) and a KWE-901G7MIC intermediate cable.

The Alpine iLX-F905D-G7 is the world's first car retrofit with a built-in 4 x 50W Class D amplifier. The advantage of class D is an incredibly good efficiency (about 90%) compared to the efficiency of a class AB amplifier (about 50-70%). New and almost silent high-speed fans keep the player cool.

A 56-band parametric equalizer, two-way crossover filters, six-channel digital delay controls, and separate Bass Engine SQ and MediaXpander allow you to adjust the sound exactly the way you want it.
And it didn't end there, because the iLX-F905D-W447 is Hi-Res Audio certified and the player is able to play 96kHZ / 1.536 kbps lossless files from USB in FLAC, WAV and APE formats.

The TIDAL app
Alpine ILX-705D / ILX-F905D / ILX-F115D are the world's first retrofit car stereos that enable completely uncompressed music streaming from TIDAL. With Alpine, a WiFi connection is created to e.g. the phone's hotspot, after which Alpine is directly connected to TIDAL's servers. The music is not compressed or compressed at any point and you get the best possible sound quality!
When the phone's hotspot and TIDAL are active, Apple CarPlay exceptionally requires the phone to be connected to the player with a USB cable.
The TIDAL application requires updating the player's software to version 2.0.000
