Description
Alpine OPTIM8 – A new era of car audio
Alpine takes car audio to a whole new level, as OPTIM8 is made to improve the sound of any equipment.
The eight-channel DSP amplifier uses Eilex PRISM™ technology, which is an unprecedented solution for car use. Eilex PRISM™ measures the frequency response using the APVD (Acoustic Power Volume Density) method and simultaneously corrects system frequency, time and phase errors. In this way, the sound is as close as possible to how it was originally recorded in the studio.
This happens automatically and takes the user a maximum of five minutes!
All-In-One means everything in one shell
Update your factory-installed or retrofitted equipment to the new era with Alpine OPTIM8. The device contains an eight-channel amplifier that is Hi-Res Audio certified and capable of 96kHz/24bit playback. OPTIM8 is an All-In-One solution that solves frequency, phase and delay problems in minutes.
Prone to everything
Alpine OPTIM8 is suitable for use with both the car's original and retrofitted equipment. The built-in amplifier offers 6 x 35W (4ohm) + 2 x 130W (4ohm) or alternatively 6 x 70W (2ohm) + 2 x 260W (2ohm).
The OPTIM8 inputs include six-channel RCA inputs, eight-channel speaker-level inputs, a digital coaxial input, a USB (DAC) input, and a Bluetooth input.
The speaker-level input supports up to a 26V signal, so OPTIM8 is also compatible without exception with cars with a factory-installed amplifier.
Automatic adjustment
Adjust the equipment in less than five minutes thanks to the innovative automatic adjustment.
Alpine OPTIM8 eliminates complicated adjustment procedures, as automatic adjustments can be made with a free iPhone application or alternatively with a PC connected to the KTX-CSP1 calibration microphone.
Alpine Auto-EQ, which utilizes Eilex PRISM™ technology and VIR filters, makes the adjustment process really easy. You will get instructions on the screen to make accurate measurements of the car's acoustics.
After the measurement, you get a graphic curve on the screen of the PC software or iPhone application, which explains all the changes. If you wish, you can still make fine adjustments to the sound according to your own taste. During the measurement, you carry the microphone (or iPhone) in the cabin of the car and the system makes hundreds of measurements during this time. The end result is a very accurate and natural reproduction.

Note: Before using Auto-EQ for the first time (or when the hardware configuration is changed), OPTIM8 is always connected to a PC, so the user e.g. defines the input and output connections and splitters used by the amplifier.

Eilex PRISM™ technology
The built-in Eilex PRISM™ technology measures the frequency response as an APVD (Acoustic Power Volume Density) measurement. The highly efficient VIR (Variable Impulse Response) DSP filters simultaneously correct the frequency, time and phase errors of the speakers. With the help of technology, the reproduction is as accurately as possible similar to the original recording, and the correction brings a considerable improvement to the reproduction.
The main advantage of Eilex PRISM™ is highly reliable measurements, regardless of the user and the measurement environment. VIR DSP filters, on the other hand, surpass traditional DSP filters in all areas.

Easy control with the controller
OPTIM8 comes with a wired controller that you use to handle the basic functions. From the controller, you adjust the volume, select the stored settings (six storage locations) and select the input to be used (Digital coaxial, USB, Bluetooth, Speaker-level, RCA)
Bluetooth as standard equipment
In addition to the traditional RCA and speaker-level input, you can also stream music from your phone directly to the amplifier using Bluetooth.
Hi-Res Audio certified
Alpine OPTIM8 is Hi-Res Audio certified and the playback range of the DSP amplifier is 10 – 45,000 hertz. The ultra-wide reproduction range takes the music to a new level and you get all the smallest details out of the recording.
High-quality calibration microphone (optional)
The KTX-CSP1 , sold as an accessory, is a very high-quality control microphone for the OPTIM8 amplifier. The adjustment process is simple, as you connect the microphone to your amplifier and during the measurement process move the microphone in the car according to the instructions. OPTIM8 creates hundreds of measurement points and makes corrections to the necessary areas according to the measurement result.
The microphone has a three-meter high-quality cable.
OPTIM8
Do you want better sound for your car? Alpine OPTIM8 hides an eight-channel amplifier and an eight-channel signal processor.
The automatic adjustment function makes hundreds of measurements around the listening position and automatically corrects for frequency, time and phase errors based on these measurements.
In the attached video, Alpine-USA's Eric Brooks goes through the amplifier's features and commissioning in detail.
