The third generation of Alpine's R-Series is here!
Alpine has renewed its entire R-Series speaker line-up and all new models are now Hi-Res Audio certified, with a playback range extending up to 40 kHz!
For the first time in Alpine's history, the R-Series now includes a three-way series, which has been eagerly anticipated in recent years. The two-way separate series is available in two different options, Standard and Professional.
Alpine 2022 R-Series range:
6.5″ PROFESSIONAL three-way separate set
The R2-S653 is Alpine's first "Ärrä" three-way speaker set, which has been long-awaited for the range. The set features cast-body 6.5" midbasses, cast-body 4" midranges and magnesium-cone 4.3cm tweeters.
The series has a very wide frequency range, from 65 hertz to forty kilohertz.

Fiberglass reinforced cone
The R2-S653 series midbass and midrange speakers use fiberglass-reinforced cones. The cone material is very light and very stiff, which allows for extremely accurate reproduction.

Cast bodies and large magnets
The Alpine R-Series PROFESSIONAL standalone series (R2-S652 and R2-S653) have cast-body midrange speakers, while the more affordable “Standard” series speakers have composite bodies.
The advantage of the aluminum frame is a completely vibration-free structure and the possibility of using heavier magnets. Despite the larger magnets, the installation depth of the midbass has been kept the same compared to the previous R-Series model.

Hi-Res Audio tweeters
The new magnesium cone tweeters reproduce even the smallest details of the music with great accuracy and playback goes all the way up to 40kHz.
You can mount the tweeters with surface-mount cups or use flush-mount cups. Both installation options still allow you to direct the tweeters within their cups.

Easy installation
Tweeters are removable and can be installed in place of the factory-installed tweeter in more and more cars, for example in the A-pillar, mirror triangle or door panel. This installation allows the appearance of the car's interior to remain unchanged.

High-end two-way filters
The R-Series PROFESSIONAL separate series are larger crossovers than the Standard models, using only top-class components to ensure the best possible sound quality. The crossovers have a three-stage treble level control (-3db / 0dB / +3dB) and a three-stage midrange level control (-3db / 0dB / +3dB).

HAMR suspension
Thanks to Alpine's HAMR (High-Amplitude Multi-Roll) suspension, the cone's trajectory remains linear at all volumes, which makes bass reproduction very controlled even at higher volumes.

New protective grilles
The third generation R-Series grilles are both sturdy and extremely stylish. The grilles are designed so that the outer diameter of the speakers does not increase at all.
