The third generation of Alpine's R-Series collection is here!
Alpine renewed its entire R-Series speaker collection and all new models are now Hi-Res Audio certified, with a playback range of up to 40 kilohertz!
For the first time in Alpine's history, the R-Series collection now also includes a three-way series, which has been eagerly hoped for in recent years. Two different options are available for two-way separate sets, Standard and Professional.
In addition to separate sets of 6.5″ and 6 x 9″ speakers, coaxial speakers are also available.
Alpine 2022 R-Series range:
6 x 9″ separate set
R2-S69C is a separate set of the new R-Series collection, with a 6 x 9″ midbass and a 4.3cm treble. The reproduction range of the completely renewed series is very wide, from 65 hertz to forty kilohertz.
Fiberglass reinforced cone
As a new feature, glass fiber reinforced cones are now used in the mid-bass of the R-Series collections. The cone material is very light and very stiff, thanks to which the reproduction is achieved very precisely.
Composite frames and large magnets
All the new R-Series "Standard" models ( R2-S65 , R2-S65C , R2-S69 and R2-S69C ) have a composite frame, while the "Pro" models have cast frames.
The new models have significantly larger magnets than the previous R-Series models, but the installation depth has still been kept the same.
Hi-Res Audio tweeters
The new magnesium cone tweeters reproduce even the smallest details of the music very accurately and the reproduction goes up to 40kHz.
You can install the tweeters with surface mounting cups or use recessed cups. In both installation options, there is still the possibility to direct trebles in their cups.
Easy installation
The tweeters can be disassembled, and installing them in place of the car's factory-installed tweeter, for example on the A-pillar, mirror triangle or door panel, is possible in more and more cars. With such an installation, the look of the car's interior can be kept unchanged.
High pass filters
Very small treble crossover filters are easy to install and in most cases they can be installed directly between the original treble cable, e.g. behind the door panel, which saves installation time considerably, compared to a large three-way or two-way filter.
The treble filter has a three-stage level control (-3db / 0dB / +3dB).
HAMR suspension
Thanks to Alpine's HAMR (High-Amplitude Multi-Roll) suspension, the trajectory of the cone remains linear at all volumes, thanks to which the bass reproduction is very controlled even at higher volumes.
New protective grilles
The grilles of the third generation R-Series collection are both sturdy and very nice.
