The long-awaited R-Series 2022 collection is here!
Revamped engines
The second generation R-series subwoofers have a large double magnet, which makes the reproduction go lower and the reproduction is tighter, compared to the previous R-Series generation. The "Faraday Ring" integrated in the voice coil increases the power endurance and reduces possible distortion, which in turn provides a clean bass reproduction even at higher volumes than before. The cones of the R-Series subwoofers are Kevlar reinforced, which makes the cone very durable, however, if the weight of the cone increases too much.
Top class performance, already in the second generation
Before the R-Series collection, Alpine had the Type-R collection, which became known for its performance, reliability and really tight bass reproduction. The second generation R-Series model series, which has now entered the market, is even better than its predecessor in terms of bass reproduction!
Alpine reliability
The new polypropylene/ceramic composite cone is really rigid, so the cone does not live its own life and the playback response is smoother and the cone material is really durable
Versatile possibilities of use
All new R-Series subwoofers have double voice coils (2 x 4ohm or 2 x 2ohm) and the subwoofers come with jumpers that make it easy to make different connection options. The new "EZ-Change" collar creates an elegant installation, while the fixing screws remain hidden with the EZ-Change ring.
More accurate playback than before
R-Series subwoofers have Alpine's patented HAMR (High Amplitude Multi-Roll) suspension. The trajectory of the cone can be increased and the suspension keeps the movement of the cone under control much better than with traditional suspension.
Six different versions
The new R-Series subbars will be available in three different sizes (8″, 10″, 12″) and each subbar is available in 2 x 2ohm and 2 x 4ohm versions.
10″ and 12″ versions will be available a little later.
