Alpine is now making available the third generation hardware for the Mercedes Benz Vito (V447). The X903D-V447 includes a giant 9″ touch screen that sits outside the dashboard, offering easy and pleasant control while driving. You can use navigation and other functions without reaching unnecessarily, and the dashboard storage compartment will also still be available to you.
X903D-V447 hides iGo Primo NextGen navigation with TomTom maps, which includes three years of free map updates. The navigation menus are in Finnish and the instructions are also in clear Finnish (you can also change the language to e.g. Swedish or English).
In addition to the built-in navigation, Android Auto* or Apple CarPlay navigations also work through the player.
Ease of use
Ease of use is one of the most important aspects when you sit in the car a lot and use the player during the journey. Alpine Style also means taking into account ergonomics, in addition to stylish integration. The screen is at a suitable distance from the dashboard, so you can use the touch screen without reaching. The physical buttons around the screen also bring more user comfort and improve traffic safety.
A giant 9″ screen
The attention is first drawn to the large 23cm screen - in fact, the screen is the same size as, for example, Apple's iPad. On the large screen, the navigation instructions and phone numbers and texts are really easy to read while driving. The virtual buttons that appear on the screen are also large, so pressing them while driving takes your eyes off the traffic for as short a time as possible.
Original steering wheel buttons
If your car is equipped with steering wheel buttons, these also work with the X903D-V447. You can perform basic functions without taking your hands off the wheel, such as muting the player, changing e.g. the program source or radio channel, adjusting the volume, etc.
Beautiful to look at
Premium cars need a Premium player. The X903D-V447 fits the Mercedes dashboard perfectly and the player "floats" in front of the dashboard. The player's microphone is also integrated into the screen, so it doesn't appear "extra" in the field of view either.
Easy camera control
The image of the reversing camera (accessory) appears on the screen automatically when the reverse gear is switched on. But, if you want to look behind while driving, you can easily do this using the Camera button on the screen.
OneLook display
Alpine's innovative OneLook screen splits the screen in half. You can see navigation information and audio information at a glance. Therefore, choosing different views does not require jumping in different menus. You can switch from OneLook mode to full screen mode with a single swipe.
The best navigation on the market?
iGo Primo NextGen navigation is one of the navigation software on the market. The X903D-V447 has a more powerful processor and a larger memory capacity than its predecessor, so navigation now works even faster and more accurately. The X903D-V447's map can now also be zoomed in and out by "pinch".
Hundreds of thousands of POIs make it easy to set your destination, and in larger cities, 3D icons of buildings are drawn on the map, making it even easier to stay on the route.
Navigation in a nutshell:
TomTom maps, with three years of free updates
The most important aspect of navigation is its map database. Alpine X903D-V447 contains the maps of 48 countries, for which TomTom is responsible. You can update the maps free of charge for three years via alpine.naviextras.com. After free map updates, updates can be obtained through the same site for a fee.
GPS and Glonass positioning
The more satellites are in use, the faster the vehicle's location is updated on the map and the more accurate the navigation. In addition to GPS positioning, Alpine uses Glonass positioning, which is particularly helpful when traditional GPS reception may weaken (e.g. near tall buildings or in mountains).
POIs
You can search for POIs by POI category, distance or, for example, by name. This makes it easier to find a suitable hotel, restaurant, gas station or other point of interest.
Many destinations also have phone numbers visible, so if necessary you can also call directly to the destination found on the list.
3D maps and speed data
You can see the map in 3D format, and the outlines of buildings and landmarks are also visible on the map of the largest European cities. If necessary, you can also get the speed limits and speed camera information on the screen.
Lane guidance
Clear lane guidance makes it easier to group up at intersections in advance.
Apple CarPlay online navigation
If you want, you can use Apple CarPlay navigation, which gives directions and advises you to your destination. Large icons make it easier to follow the navigation, and you can easily access Apple's navigation by pressing the player's Navi button twice.
Android Auto online navigation
Let Googlemaps get you there. Android Auto* enables the use of Googlemaps, which takes into account real-time traffic information, provides lane guidance and clearly tells you where to turn.
Note Android Auto is not available from the Google Play store, so you have to install the application in another way.
Entertainment on the big screen
Whatever you want to watch, you can always do it with Alpine. You can connect a set-top box sold as an accessory to it, play video files from a USB stick, the HDMI input allows you to connect a portable device, or you can get an Alpine DVD player that can be connected to the HDMI connection (installed under the screen in the picture). For traffic safety reasons, video files can only be viewed when the car is stationary.
Apple CarPlay
Apple CarPlay brings additional features to iPhone users. You can use Spotify, listen to internet radios or podcasts, and manage calls directly from Alpine's touch screen.
You just connect Apple with a USB cable and all CarPlay functions are enabled.
Android Auto
The simple and straightforward user interface keeps your eyes on the road and using the phone's functions is really easy. Android Auto* automatically brings all the most interesting information to the player's screen and organizes them into cards on the screen.
Note Android Auto is not available from the Google Play store, so installing the application must be done in another way.
Bluetooth
Built-in Bluetooth creates a wireless connection between your phone and your player. Logical user interface, call management, wireless music playback and all of this directly accessible from the touch screen.
Alpine sound quality
Alpine is known worldwide for the best sound quality on the market. You can use time delay controls, equalizers, dividers and numerous other different sound control features to make the sound exactly according to your taste.
Naturally, the player also has three pairs of line outputs . The KTX-PRE1 cable is required, so you can add a separate subwoofer and amplifiers.
USB and AuxIn on the dashboard.
The X903D-V447 is supplied with an Aux / USB adapter, with which the car's original USB and Aux inputs can also be used with Alpine. Both connections function not only as audio but also as video inputs.
Additional equipment pickups
DVD player
As an accessory, you can get a DVE-5300 DVD player for the X903D-V447 player, which is installed below the screen.
Connect up to three cameras!
The optional KCX-C250MC allows up to three cameras to be connected to the player. The cameras are controlled from the touch screen. Alpine has cameras for the front, back and side, and you can also get cameras with a very wide viewing angle, whose viewing angles you can change directly from Alpine's screen.
Connect up to three cameras
The KCX-C250MC allows up to three cameras to be connected to the player. So you can connect a front camera and a side camera in addition to the traditional reversing camera.
Reversing cameras with RCA connector
If your car has, for example, a factory-installed reversing camera with an RCA connector or you want to install a camera with an RCA connector in the car, you need an AH-CAMA-Alp1 adapter.
Connection for amplifiers
KTX-PRE1 front, rear and subwoofer line output sold separately.
