Description
Audison APK 165P Audison Prima 6.5" 2-way separate set
The APK 165P separate set consists of AP 6.5P midbass and AP 1 tweeters equipped with passive crossovers. The series is perfectly suited for installation in the standard places of cars and is neutrally accurate in tone. The bass reproduction is also really powerful at its best, thanks to the high power endurance of the specially made bass element and the sturdy upper suspension.
As an excellent additional option, we recommend Audison's APF8.9 BIT DSP amplifier with which the timbre can be further modified to your liking and with additional power the true potential of the speaker set can be utilized.
AP 6.5P midbass
The AP 6.5P is a mid-bass with exceptionally high power endurance and a robust voice coil, so it can withstand even loud playing. The sound tone is neutrally accurate and thanks to the light but rigid structure of the cone, even the smallest dynamic variations and subtle details are transmitted to the listener's ears exactly as the artist intended.
Midbass features
1. Long range of motion produces excellent dynamic reproduction.
2. Electro-acoustic parameters optimized to maximize performance when installed in original locations.
3. Powerful magnets keep the element's trajectory linear up to the limit.
4. 32 x 14 mm voice coil made of pure copper with high current resistance.
5. The compact body structure facilitates installation in the original places.

AP 1 treble
The AP 1 tweeter consists of a 26 mm calotte and a specially designed acoustic lens that compensates for the radiation pattern of the 10 kHz - 13 kHz frequency range. A REN-type magnet made of neodymium and a very small passive crossover filter keep the treble reproduction toned and controlled.
Treble features
1. The 26 mm shell combined with the oversized upper suspension guarantee excellent efficiency and minimal resonances.
2. Neodymium magnet with low carbon plates enable compact size and more linear reproduction even in the most demanding music samples.
3. The acoustic lens is designed to compensate for attenuations and accents in the 10 - 13 kHz range caused by OEM protective grilles.
4. The extremely compact passive crossover filter APCX TW is included in the package, and with the treble level control (0 db, +2 dB) found in it, the sound can be adapted to work in the original installation locations.
5. Manifolds are equipped with OEM compatible quick connectors and are clearly color coded to minimize connection errors during installation.
6. The package comes with a wide range of different tweeter mounting frames that can be used to fit almost any car's original positions.
7. The ultra-light ferrofluid-cooled tweeter voice coil is wrapped in a Kapto former for better heat distribution.
8. The shape of the shell and the motor are optimized using FEM (Finite Element Method) simulation.
9. Developed using the KLIPPEL software package
AIF - Any Install Faceplate
The tweeter comes with three different installation adapters that enable installation in almost every car and save a lot of installation time.

By strengthening to the next level
Although the Prima APK 165P is suitable for playing with a car stereo amplifier due to its high sensitivity, the real potential is realized only when Audison's Bit series DSP amplifier, such as the APF8.9 bit, is harnessed to command the speakers. The amplifier naturally increases the amount of power going to the speakers, but the DSP found in it plays at least an equally important role, i.e. the digital signal processor, which can be used to modify the tone of the speakers to suit the ears of each listener. In the case of certain cars, the signal processor also enables a de-equalization function. This means that some newer cars have a signal processor already integrated into the player, and its main function is to make the original low-quality speaker elements sound at least a little better.
This feature becomes a problem when the speakers are replaced with better ones, but the amplification is left to the car stereo, as the fixed response correction of the speakers is designed to work only with the car's original speakers. The operating principle of de-equalization is to correct the frequency response back to neutral, so that the signal coming from the player's amplifier is unmodified and the aftermarket speakers sound as the designer intended.
