Cambridge Audio Edge W
Edge series stereo power amplifier.
When you put the Cambridge Audio Edge W on the power amplifier, you can be sure that the sound is very clean and it sounds dynamic. The signal chain is very clean, the amplifier is built from only 14 components. No compromises have been made at any stage of the development, but all parts have been carefully selected. By listening and testing, the quality of the Edge W has been confirmed. Underneath the minimalist outer shell are the best components, when it can be ensured that there is no electromagnetic interference. Opposite symmetrical double-toroid transformers ensure less electronic interference and produce as much power as possible, regardless of the volume at which the device is played.
Using Class A amplifier technology was not powerful enough for the Edge W. Instead, we increased the bias voltage to the level of a traditional class AB amplifier, which reduces the distortion to inaudible levels. This unique configuration also generates less heat and makes the whole system more efficient.
This flagship range has been produced to honor Cambridge Audio's 50 years in hi-fi. Also in the same category of newcomers is the Edge NQ network player and the Edge A integrated amplifier. By connecting all these pieces together, you get a hardware that cannot be matched.
