Managing car settings
When replacing the factory-installed player in a VW Crafter, it is especially important not to lose the car settings that are controlled via the original player. Alpine offers a unique solution for this, allowing you to modify the car settings via the Halo9 / Halo11 player's touchscreen.*
*) If the original player has traffic sign recognition, this function will be disabled. The kit does not support cars with Active Information Display.
Original steering wheel buttons
With this installation kit, your car's steering wheel buttons will remain functional when your car is replaced with an Alpine Halo9 / Halo11 player. You can adjust the volume, answer and reject calls, change the source, etc.
If you use an iPhone, you activate Siri with one press of a button and get access to all of Siri's voice commands.
MFD display
AH-KIT-VW05 also supports the car's MFD (Multi Function Display) in the instrument cluster. You can see the radio station name, song information, etc. just like on the original player.
Rear view camera and parking aid display
If your car has factory-installed reversing radar, this will also work seamlessly with Alpine. If your car has a reversing camera installed, you can have the reversing camera and radar screens displayed simultaneously if you wish.
Air conditioner display
When you adjust the car's climate control, Alpine displays this information on a large screen, including driver and passenger side temperatures, seat heater information, and fan speed. The information automatically appears on the screen for a few seconds when any of the climate control settings are changed.
Pre-Flight Check
For touring and camping car use, Alpine can remind you when setting off that, for example, the car's gas taps are closed, all necessary doors are closed, the car's support legs are removed, etc.
You can choose the settings for your own car or disable these reminders completely.
Compatible with all Alpine Halo players.
AH-KIT-VW05 is compatible with the ILX-F115D, ILX-F905D, INE-F904D and INE-F904DC players.

Note: If your car has an eCall function, you will need the ACV 1424-28 adapter, which will keep the car's eCall function enabled even after replacing the player and the adapter will also remove the eCall fault message.
