Denon's HEOS Drive HS2
Multi-room power amplifier
Multizone sound for the whole home in one shell. Designed by Custom Integration experts for installation professionals, HEOS Drive HS2 is a unique 4-zone whole-home sound distribution system with 8 channels of D-class amplifier power, and the whole package is in one 2RU size case and supports Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital+ decoding with stereo downmixing.
Powering 60 watts per channel into each of the 8 channels (20Hz~20kHz, .05% THD, 8 ohms, all channels loaded), 1 or 2 stereo channels can be bridged into one powerful (130 W) channel, and the HEOS Drive HS2 is capable of driving low impedance speakers (4 ohm ). Each zone offers a stereo pair of line outputs, and each zone can be set as either a stereo or mixed multi output. The matrix-based source switching offers 2 optical digital inputs, 2 coaxial digital inputs and 4 analog stereo inputs, any of which can be assigned to any zone, and each Zone has a USB connection to which an external USB drive can be connected.
The HEOS Drive HS2 is capable of handling almost any combination of speaker systems, thanks to a built-in signal processor with high-pass and low-pass filters so that any output can be set to full band, subwoofer use or small speakers with adjustable frequencies. The speaker outputs have 4-way terminals that are compatible with banana plugs, and the amplifier has 4 12V trigger outputs. The case has a silent fan to ensure operation.
