DLS DD33-40
The DLS DD33-40 is a three-channel amplifier by DLS, made to celebrate the 40-year anniversary of the Swedish brand. The amplifier is very small in terms of physical dimensions, so in addition to ordinary cars, the DD33-40 is easy to install in e.g. a van under the seat or behind the dashboard. The class D amplifier has a very good efficiency, so the power consumption of the amplifier is moderate and the amplifier stays cool even during longer listening sessions.
The amplifier comes with a hard-wired level control for adjusting the subwoofer and the DD33-40 is also equipped with auto-start when a speaker-level input is used. This makes it easier to connect the amplifier behind the car's factory-installed stereo.
The amplifier also has a 3.5mm AuxIn input, so a signal can be brought to the amplifier from, for example, the phone's headphone output.
A low-pass filter (50 – 250HZ) must be adjusted for the subwoofer channel and a high-pass filter (40 – 400Hz) for the main channels. Subbar and main channels have their own input sensitivity controls.
The DLS DD33-40 has two pairs of RCA inputs. The amplifier can still be used with instruments that only have one pair of RCA outputs, as the amplifier can distribute the incoming signal to all three outgoing channels.
