It is often difficult or impossible to add an external amplifier for a subwoofer, for example, to the factory-installed player of newer cars. Many external amps have speaker-level inputs that work with slightly older players, but newer cars with digital amps have been problematic. DLS's renewed HLC 4.2 is the solution to this.
The DLS HLC 4.2 is an active line converter that works with all types of original instruments thanks to its balanced line inputs and filters. The HLC 4.2 can be used as a two- or four-channel converter, and the converter can be used to select whether the amplifier starts when it receives a speaker signal or when the player is switched on.
As a novelty, the CP-EBC level controller can be added to the HLC 4.2 line converter. Connecting the level control sums the triple and quadruple channel signals, so the remote control works as the level control of the subwoofer.
