The Emit 10 is a compact 2-way floorstanding speaker that uses technology from the high-end Confidence, Contour i and Evoke series. It is ideal for smaller rooms and satellite channels in home cinema systems.
The Emit 10 features a 14 cm MSP (Magnesium Silicate Polymer) woofer. MSP is a material that Dynaudio has developed and used for decades. It offers just the right combination of lightness, stiffness and lossless damping.
The mid/bass driver is derived from the successful Esotec+ woofer in the Evoke series and uses an all-new surround and dual magnet system. This improves frequency response and dynamics in the low frequencies, while maintaining crystal-clear mid-range performance. This means you hear a powerful and clear midrange, where guitars, vocals and everything else are reproduced without distortion, even at higher volumes.
The Cerotar tweeter is the exact same tweeter found in the Evoke series of speakers. It is based on the incredible Esotar 3 element used in the award-winning Special Forty speaker, as well as the Heritage Special and Confidence series speakers.
It features a 28mm soft fabric dome with a special DSR coating. It reproduces all the details and creates the transparency you want to hear from your recordings, without subjecting you to unwanted listening fatigue during longer listening sessions. This is a speaker you can listen to late into the night without getting tired.
Behind the tweeter diaphragm is the much talked about Hexis structure. It features an ingenious so-called open inner dome, which is directly behind the diaphragm and creates an airflow that optimizes the frequency response and eliminates unwanted resonances. This means that the diaphragm moves more precisely, so you hear more detail than before. It is driven by a strontium carbonate and ceramic magnet system, which achieves better sensitivity and clarity, as well as a natural and dynamic response.
The back of the enclosure houses a bass reflex port. It features a two-way design that reduces air turbulence and minimizes unwanted sounds, especially at the lowest frequencies. Even the internal damping material is tuned (yes, it's possible). It's measured to the gram to achieve the perfect combination of damping and sound transparency.
The cases are made of 18 mm MDF, covered with beautiful laminate surfaces. Magnetically attached front grilles are also included.
